As an amateur Jamie represented England on several occasions with great success, claiming a number of prestigious titles including the famous Birkdale Goblet 12 months prior to what would be his first professional tournament, The Open Championship.
Having qualified through local and then final qualifying Jamie found himself at The Open Championship, arguably golf's most prestigious major. Whilst there he impressed no lesser major champions than John Daly and Geoff Ogilvy who took time out to offer Jamie real praise and encouragement.
We have taken the decision to send Jamie to play on the Alps Tour in 2010 as we feel that this will offer him a great chance of success on courses and in an environment that will suit his game. Jamie has recently begun work with the renowned Claude Harmon and the work that they have undertaken has caused belief that this season will be Jamie's breakthrough year.
Currently residing just outside Manchester, Jamie enjoys great support from his family with his brother Scott often to be found on his bag. He is popular throughout the game and with his sponsors.
