Robert fulfilled his dream of playing on The European Tour when, having taken up Affiliate Membership, he finished 116th on the 2003 Order of Merit from his seven invitations to secure a place on The 2004 European Tour International Schedule.

Robert rose to prominence from a Midland PGA Professional and teacher at the delightfully named Swingers Golf Centre in Lichfield with impressive performances in 2003 at the Benson and Hedges International Open and PGA Championship. Rob won his first European Tour title by claiming the 2011 BMW Italian Open after leading wire to wire. Having become synonymous with breathtaking approach play and it was this that combined with a command of the greens to set up his maiden title .

Robert remains a favourite with the media thanks to a combination of his long driving, excellent ball striking and good looks, this situation is further helped by his personality which means the camera’s and galleries are never far away.

Robert was born in the midlands and remains loyal to those roots with his home near Lichfield. Rob is very popular throughout the Tour and is excellent with both the media and clients.
