Phillip began playing as a nine year old at Birchwood Golf Club where his father Derek was a founder member.

The 2006 season produced a then career high Order of Merit finish of 41st, where he finished in the top six three times in six weeks during mid-summer, including in The Celtic Manor Wales Open where he had the opportunity to card the first 59 in official European Tour competition, but he missed his birdie putt from seven feet on the 18th green!

Phillip has worked hard to achieve the status he now enjoys having finished in 29th position of the 2007 Order of Merit.

This was a season that saw Phillip qualify for the victorious Seve Trophy team captained by Nick Faldo. Phillip’s progress over the past few years has built a foundation upon which those people in the know feel that 2008 will bring his first win on the European Tour. Phillip is also a consistent member of the World Ranking’s top 100.

Warrington born and bred Phillip and his wife Deborah still call Warrington home. He is very popular throughout the Tour and is excellent with both the media and clients.
