Andrew had a fantastic year in 2007 finishing 61st on the European Tour Order of Merit and 3rd on the Sunshine Tour Order of Merit after only 5 events thereby qualifying him for the World Golf Championship Events starting at Doral and guaranteeing a return to the high profile HSBC champions tournament.
He had a spell in America on the PGA Tour before returning to The European Tour full-time in 2005 and made the most of his opportunities by finishing in the top 100 in both 2005 and 2006.
Andrews start to 2008 has been incredibly consistent and currently sees him sat in 13th place on the order of merit.
In addition to his current ranking Andrew’s attendance at the World Golf Championship events give him a fantastic opportunity to continue and improve on this strong start.
Twice an Eisenhower Trophy player as an amateur, qualified for, and made the cut in, The 1998 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, finishing 72nd. He won his card at 1998 Qualifying School with Sam Frost – brother of top South African professional, David – caddying.
Born in Zimbabwe and lives in South Africa but, as the name suggests, comes from strong Scottish stock. Parents, Ron and Mary, are from Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. He is married with one child.
